White Sands Holiday Rental Island Beach
Just a short 80m walk over the boardwalk and sand dunes to Island Beach. Well protected, shallow aqua water for the kids to play in. Fine white sandy beach 5km long.
There is soft white sand as far as the eye can see. A calm, tranquil atmosphere that will have you unwinding in no time at all. Whether it's building sandcastles, swimming, or taking the Kayaks or boogie boards to the beach, White Sands offers endless opportunities for relaxation and fun.
On the Days and evenings you want to stay home, play a game of Pool / Air Hockey, Table Tennis or Chess.
White Sands is situated at Island Beach only 15 minutes from Penneshaw.
North facing the beach in Flinders Grove at the end of a cul-de-sac, so there is no through traffic and look for the entrance Pelican at the driveway.
Heating and Cooling
North facing home. Reverse Cycle Air Conditioning/ heating split systems, underfloor heating in main living area, ceiling fans in all rooms, and electric blankets on all queen beds. This means you can control the temperature and airflow individually throughout the home.


White Sands Kitchen

The efficient kitchen is loaded with appliances. Electric oven and gas hotplates, large fridge with filtered water and ice maker, microwave, dishwasher, Kettle, toaster, sandwich maker, and the all-important Nespresso coffee machine. Bread maker, Blender, Electric frypan and baking pans means home away from home.

Three of the four bedrooms each have an ensuite and the fourth uses the main bathroom/Laundry/powder room

See Kangaroo islands Flora and Fauna.There is an abundant bird life around the house,including Blue Rens and pelicans at the water's edge.
Kangaroos and wallabies continually wander around and under the house. So keep the shed door shut.
Fresh sliced carrots are popular . Drop them from the deck down to the Roos in the early evenings. Please remember these are wild animals so do not approach.

When you feel like staying in, you can enjoy the spacious house with two separate family rooms.
Or you can lounge outside where there is protected undercover outdoor dining, and a large front deck, all overlooking Island Beach.

No matter the time of year, or the weather, this holiday home has it all.

During winter months, cook together in the very well equipped kitchen, or the protected BBQ deck. Two separate living areas for movie or games night, chess and reading. We also provide table tennis in the back shed for those rainy days.
There are still plenty of great walks, places to explore things to see and of course the beach is always a popular spot.

During the warmer months you can adventure further afield, spend more time outdoors, enjoy lazy days on the beach with boogie boards and sun shelter. Fishing is often popular on the beach catching whiting, or a Kayak adventure.

House Rules

- Price Based on Two Adults
* If Extra persons stay, more than booking request, if we are not notified prior, extras people will be charged out at DOUBLE rate for extra people from security deposit.
We have exterior Security cameras in Driveway and inside garage which are ON at All times and are motion activated to record, that are be used for security and/or to monitor that our policies are adhered to.
Minimum 3 night stay,
We cannot sometimes cannot take bookings if other guests are leaving or arriving on same day as cleaners will not have time to clean
To maintain a good standard for our guests we require certain conditions to be complied with. We appreciate most will respect our property but the occasional abuse requires that we state the following conditions.
Number of guests should not exceed the number stated on the Confirmation Notice or subsequently agreed in writing or email. A loss of bond will apply for excess guests not agreed with the owners in advance.
Parties and functions are strictly prohibited unless pre-arranged with the owner in writing. The price charged is for domestic use only and not commercial. Accordingly this rate does not allow for the extra wear associated with functions in terms of cleaning, garbage removal, wear and tear, repairs etc. Use contrary to this may result in loss of your bond and/or additional payments.
Damage, breakages, theft and loss are the tenants’ responsibility during their stay.
Departure – the property must be left in a similar state to its condition on arrival. Our cleaners are contractors and are booked well in advance of the properties booking dates for cleaning after guests. If the 10.00 am departure is not adhered to a charge of $300 will be made against the bond money which is the cost of re-booking the contractors.
We would ask that the Lodge is left in a similar state to when you arrived, other than normal cleaning which is accepted. If the property is left in a state that requires excessive cleaning a further cost will be charged at $45 per hour and taken from the bond.
If guest choose to use BBQ, guest must clean after each use.
We do not ask that the Lodge is cleaned by yourselves just left in a tidy and well looked after state similar to when you arrived.
Disturbance to our neighbours, including excessive noise, is prohibited and may result in termination of rental and loss of bond.
Linen is supplied by the owner and based on numbers booked.
For the protection of the wildlife and the chances of other guests being allergic to animals pets are not allowed. If this condition of rental is ignored there will be an immediate loss of bond and the rental shall be terminated.
Loss – the owners take no responsibility for the tenant’s personal property.

The welcoming home has everything you’ll need for a comfortable stay, including reverse cycle heating and cooling, 3 flat screen TVs, Free Wi-fi Chromecast streaming of Netflix etc, is sure to please all your entertainment needs during your vacation.
Kitchen has Gas hotplates Fridge freezer with ice maker and filtered water. Inside wine fridge and outside drinks fridge for Weber BBQ.
Nespresso Coffee machine, Dishwasher, bread maker, kettle, toaster and pantry supplies.
Bedrooms have fans, electric blankets for queen beds along with warm throw blankets on the beds in cooler months.

DIRECTIONS TO WHITE SANDS


FROM FERRY AT PENNESHAW
• take the main road out of Penneshaw to Kingscote
• you will pass turnoffs to Baudin Beach and Browns Beach
• approx 3.5 km from Browns Beach turnoff there is a signpost to Island Beach. Turn right - dirt road (this is Island Beach road)
• approx 3 km along Island Beach road turn right into Penguin Street – dirt road
• you will come to intersection of, Flinders Grove and Borda road, turn left into Flinders Grove
• White Sands is at the very end of, Flinders Grove in cul-de-sac.
• White Sands is the last driveway on left, look up you see the sunroom.



FROM THE KINGSCOTE AIRPORT

• Take main Kingscote to Penneshaw road
• Pass the main bitumen turnoff to American River on left
• Turn left onto Island Beach road just after Felt Hat Corner
• approx 3 km along Island Beach road turn right into Penguin Street – dirt road
• you will come to intersection of, Flinders Grove and Borda road, turn left into Flinders Grove
• White Sands is at the very end of, Flinders Grove in cul-de-sac.
